“Amber” just happens to be another term for “fossilized tree sap.” Because of the way in which amber is formed, no two pieces of amber are exactly alike. As prehistoric tree sap oozed over older prehistoric tree sap, gold, brown, yellow, and orange layers fused together to create beautifully warm and subdued organic gemstones. Occasionally, “inclusions”, which are ancient air bubbles, insects, or foliage, can be found within amber pieces.
